Financial Planning Analyst
AstroTalk
At Astrotalk, we are looking to onboard a finance professional who can support financial planning, budgeting, and drive data-backed business decisions in a fast-growing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Group Consolidation
• Own preparation of consolidated financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement) across entities in accordance with Ind AS / IFRS
• Perform intercompany reconciliation and elimination entries; liaise with subsidiary and business unit finance teams to validate data
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes with accuracy and timeliness
• Maintain consolidation workbooks; identify, investigate, and resolve variances
• Support preparation of disclosures including related-party transactions, segment reporting (consultations, e-commerce, international), and notes to accounts
FP&A & Management Reporting
• Prepare monthly MIS packs and business performance dashboards for the CFO and senior leadership
• Support the annual budgeting and quarterly re-forecasting cycles across business verticals (marketplace, international)
• Conduct variance analysis (actuals vs. budget vs. prior period) with meaningful commentary — including tracking key revenue drivers
• Build and maintain financial models to support business decisions, including new vertical launches, pricing changes, and geographic expansion
• Track unit economics and KPIs — CAC, LTV, repeat rate, EBITDA margin — and provide insights to support strategic decision-making
Process & Automation
• Identify opportunities to streamline consolidation and reporting workflows
• Support automation of recurring MIS reports using Excel, Power BI, or ERP tools
• Contribute to building scalable, IPO-grade financial reporting processes from the ground up
• Ensure compliance with Ind AS accounting standards; assist with statutory audit and internal audit processes, leveraging Big 4 experience to manage queries efficiently
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) from ICAI
• 1–2 years of post-qualification experience at a Big 4 firm (Deloitte / PwC / EY / KPMG), preferably in statutory audit of consumer tech, internet, or FMCG clients
• Strong working knowledge of Ind AS / IFRS, particularly consolidation standards
• Hands-on experience with group consolidation processes through audit of multi-entity companies
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, dynamic modelling, multi-sheet consolidations); exposure to ERP tools especially Zoho Books is a plus
• High attention to detail, strong analytical thinking, and ability to work under tight reporting deadlines
• Good communication skills — comfortable presenting financial data clearly to non-finance stakeholders
Good to Have
• Exposure to Power BI or Tableau for financial dashboards
• Prior experience or familiarity with IPO / pre-IPO finance processes (DRHP, SEBI ICDR)
• Understanding of performance marketing metrics (CAC, ROAS, LTV)
• Experience with D2C or marketplace business models
Interest in consumer internet, fintech, or high-growth startup environments
