Blank Street is seeking a highly talented and resourceful Director of U.S. Supply Chain to support our dynamic supply chain team. As the senior leader of the U.S. Supply Chain team, you will report directly to the Managing Director, U.S. and play a critical role in shaping the future of our supply chain operations. This position requires a strategic thinker with a knack for team leadership, process optimization, and data-driven decision-making. This position is ideal for those who excel in navigating and problem solving in fast-paced often ambiguous scenarios and who are excited about shaping the future strategy of a fast-growing startup, while also driving excellence in day-to-day operations. This role is in-person at Blank Street’s NY HQ office located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

What You’ll Own:
- Team Leadership: Serve as the senior leader in the U.S. Supply Chain team, developing strategies, plans, and tactics that support Blank Street’s current needs, while building a foundation for profitable efficient long-term growth. Establish a high-performance culture of accountability (clear targets and expectations), transparency, collaboration, and continuous learning. Identify opportunities and avenues for teams to learn and expand their skillset.
- Sales and Operations Planning: Work closely with Finance, Operations and Strategy to align demand forecasts and financial plans with supply chain capabilities, ensuring products are available when needed while minimizing excess inventory.
- Vendor Management: Oversee and enhance relationships with suppliers to ensure seamless operations, supply continuity, and best pricing.
- Process Optimization: Lead the enhancement of supply chain processes, from demand forecasting and inventory management to production planning and logistics/network design.
- Data Analysis: Leverage advanced analytics to inform strategic decisions, improve operational efficiency, and anticipate market shifts.
- Inventory Management: Design and implement strategies to optimize inventory levels, minimize costs, and ensure product availability.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks, developing robust contingency plans for potential disruptions.
- Technology Integration: Spearhead the adoption and optimization of cutting-edge supply chain technologies to improve visibility and operational performance.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Maintain effective collaboration across various departments to align supply chain initiatives with overall business objectives.
Who You Are:
- Proven experience in supply chain management, with a strong track record of leading high-performing teams.
- Expertise in sales and operations planning, inventory management, and process optimization.
- Comfort with ambiguity and proven ability to make decisions in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in data analysis and forecasting methods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and stakeholder relationships.
- Experience in implementing and managing supply chain technologies and systems.
Benefits:
- $120,000 - $170,000 annual base salary
- Blank Street, in good faith, believes that the posted salary range is accurate for this role in New York City at the time of posting. Our salaries are rooted in the desire to pay competitively relative to our organization size and industry, reflecting just one part of the total compensation package. Additional components include equity, healthcare benefits, paid time off and various work perks (commuter benefits, free coffee). Details will be discussed during the interview process. Blank Street may pay more or less than the posted range based on factors such as relevant experience and skills, qualifications and location, among others. This range may be modified in the future.
