About Us

At Blank Street, we believe that rituals matter and that great rituals make your life better. With coffee shops across the US and UK, we are working to transform the high street grab-and-go coffee transaction into an experience that is higher in quality, hospitality, and joy.

Our Values

  • Magic is in the Details: We value attention to detail in everything we do. We're always thinking about the small things that make a moment meaningful.
  • Move as One: We value people who strive to be the best team player, not individual stars.
  • “My Home is Your Home” Hospitality: We look for individuals who treat others the same way they'd treat a guest in their home. We care about presentation, hospitality, and having fun even when things are stressful.

What's Brewing...

As our People Business Partner, you will partner closely with Blank Street's leaders across the organisation to drive strong employee engagement, people practices, processes and compliance within all our stores. You will work closely with the UK People Director, UK Operations Director, Operations Managers and General Managers in providing solutions to employee-related matters while maintaining a balance between being a business partner and an employee champion.

You will be entrusted to drive change across a rapidly growing and diverse organisation. You will develop scalable programs and processes, identify needs or gaps, and implement people solutions to help Blank Street become best in class. As the people partner, you are able to navigate through ambiguity and recognise when it is appropriate to introduce more structure and process without derailing current business practices.

Ultimately, the people partner is critical in executing the people strategy, driving business results, and creating an amazing people experience for all Blank Street employees.

What you'll own

  • Serve as a trusted people partner for our Field Teams across the UK.
  • Assist in developing and implementing People Team initiatives that focus on employee retention, engagement, development, recognition, compensation, and talent management.
  • Proactively assess employee needs by leveraging people metrics. You’ll be counted on to gather people's data, provide insights, recommend appropriate solutions and assist in implementation to drive a better employee experience.
  • Be the point of contact for employee relations cases. You’ll be responsible for managing and resolving complex employee relations issues that arise with necessary personnel.
  • Partner with key functions to work on and support programs in areas of training, development, career mobility, and performance. You’ll collaborate on strategies and approaches to diagnose and enhance company effectiveness.
  • Plan and facilitate company-wide events that promote employee engagement, company values, and gathering.
  • Educate and partner with the team on critical employee journey touch points including but not limited to — compensation practices, performance management and calibration, promotions, onboarding and training, and off boarding.
  • Partner with managers to develop and implement effective people policies and practices that support the growth and maintenance of a business.
  • Provide general people expertise and best practices. The team will come to you as their first point of contact for all things people.
  • Collaborate with the People Team to champion and accelerate a culture of excellence in which people feel inspired to deliver top business results.
  • Lead core people processes across the field.

A bit about you

  • It starts with a passion for service, coffee and people, but that's just the beginning. We're looking for all that and a little bit more magic!
  • 3-5 years experience within fast-paced multi-site customer-facing environments. Hospitality preferred.
  • A strong passion and experience in managing, coaching, and developing people.
  • A commercial mindset that understands all the components of driving delivery across multiple locations.
  • Demonstrated experience of managing and influencing stakeholders across multiple business functions.
  • A self starter with a can do, solution oriented mindset and a positive outlook.
  • Someone that can see the bigger picture and isn't afraid to get stuck in to make the magic happen.
  • A love for the Blank Street brand and genuine excitement to be a part of the amazing journey we are on.

Whats in it for you

  • Competitive annual salary
  • Private healthcare
  • 25 days holidays
  • A whole lot of Blank Street swag (and coffee of course!)
