Conversion Rate Optimisation Manager

Everlab

Sydney, NSW, Australia

About the role:

You'll own the conversion path from ad click through to booked discovery call, with a specific focus on Everlab's landing pages and quiz.

We spend significantly on paid acquisition to bring people into our funnel. Your job is to understand where and why people drop off, identify the highest leverage opportunities to improve conversion, and run a rigorous experimentation program to turn those opportunities into measurable growth.

We're looking for someone with 4+ years of hands-on CRO or growth experience who has run experimentation programs for high-volume consumer businesses. You'll be comfortable owning the numbers, getting into the data, writing copy, shipping tests and making decisions based on evidence.

This is a full-time hybrid role based in Sydney. Our team works from the office three days per week.

Responsibilities and scope:

Landing pages:

  • Own conversion performance across every landing page in the paid acquisition funnel, from hero through to CTA.

  • Build and manage the roadmap of landing page experiments based on data, customer behaviour and commercial impact.

  • Develop hypotheses, run tests, analyse results and ship winning variations.

  • Focus on improving conversion, not simply making pages look better.

  • Identify and resolve gaps between paid acquisition messaging and the landing page experience.

Quiz optimisation:

  • Own the performance of Everlab's quiz, including start rate, completion rate, drop-off and conversion to booked discovery call.

  • Analyse drop-off by question and continually test question order, phrasing and progressive disclosure.

  • Improve the quiz results page and its conversion into the next stage of the funnel.

  • Find the right balance between collecting enough information to qualify prospective members and keeping the experience simple enough to maximise completion.

  • Develop a clear point of view on how the quiz should evolve based on customer behaviour and experimentation.

Experimentation:

  • Build and run a rigorous CRO experimentation program across landing pages and the quiz.

  • Develop hypotheses grounded in quantitative and qualitative data and prioritise tests based on expected impact.

  • Ensure tests have sufficient traffic, sample size and duration to produce meaningful results.

  • Maintain a clear decision log so learnings are captured and the team does not repeat previous experiments unnecessarily.

  • Establish a consistent testing cadence and continually increase the speed and quality of experimentation.

Customer behaviour & insights:

  • Use session replays, heatmaps and funnel analysis in tools such as Mixpanel to understand where customers are dropping off.

  • Conduct qualitative research through exit surveys, user testing, customer feedback and other methods.

  • Develop a genuine understanding of why prospective members leave the funnel, not simply where they leave.

  • Turn customer behaviour and data into clear hypotheses and actionable improvements.

Commercial performance:

  • Own and report on landing page conversion rate, quiz start rate, quiz completion rate, quiz-to-booking conversion and cost per booked discovery call.

  • Report performance weekly and be accountable for improving these metrics over time.

  • Work closely with Growth, Design and Engineering to prioritise and ship improvements.

  • Move quickly and independently, shipping the majority of experiments without relying on an engineering sprint.

What we are looking for:

  • CRO experience: You have 4+ years of experience doing CRO or growth as a core part of your role, either in-house at a high-volume consumer business or agency-side running CRO programs for one.

  • Track record: You can walk us through experiments you've run, including the hypothesis, execution, result and what you learned. You're equally comfortable talking about tests that lost.

  • Experimentation: You're hands-on with experimentation tools such as VWO, Optimizely, Convert, Statsig, GrowthBook or similar.

  • Analytics: You're experienced with behavioural analytics tools such as Mixpanel, GA4, Hotjar, Clarity or FullStory.

  • Statistics: You understand statistical significance, sample size, test duration and minimum detectable effect well enough to know when a result is meaningful and when it isn't.

  • Hands-on: You're comfortable using Webflow, HTML/CSS and visual editors to ship tests without waiting on Engineering. You know when something needs a developer, but the majority of experiments don't need to sit in a sprint queue.

  • Copy: You can write conversion-focused copy and understand that many meaningful conversion improvements come from messaging, not layout.

  • Funnels: Experience optimising quizzes, funnels or lead qualification flows using Typeform, Involve.me or custom-built products is highly regarded.

  • High-trust products: Experience in health, wellness, insurance or another considered, high-trust purchase is a plus.

  • Paid acquisition: You understand paid social and search well enough to identify mismatches between an ad and the landing page experience.

  • Data: SQL experience, or the ability to access and analyse your own data without relying on someone else, is a plus.

Who this role suits:

You notice when a page is underperforming and want to understand why. You're comfortable challenging whether a result is statistically meaningful and would rather run six well-designed tests and learn from each of them than spend a quarter working on one large redesign.

You're comfortable being measured. This role has clear numbers attached to it, they'll be visible on a dashboard, and you'll be accountable for moving them.

This is a deliberately focused role. You'll own landing pages and the quiz and go deep on both. You won't own brand, the Marketing team or the broader marketing strategy. The scope is specific, but the commercial leverage is significant.
