We are seeking a Product Owner to guide a Data Engineering team handling a wide range of airline data projects — ranging from onboarding new customers, to scaling up existing solutions, to adding new features for current airline clients. This role is critical in aligning external product vision with our internal delivery processes, ensuring a seamless and value-driven approach to airline data integration and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the product backlog, gathering requirements from stakeholders and prioritizing onboarding, scaling, and feature development.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering, QA, and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth sprints, remove blockers, and meet deadlines.
• Oversee multiple projects — pilots and larger initiatives — using Agile practices for clear progress and continuous improvement.
• Maintain regulatory compliance (IATA, GDPR), define acceptance criteria, and ensure data quality.
• Leverage industry insights and customer feedback to refine data-driven product enhancements.

You’ll be a great fit if…

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or equivalent experience is a MUST.
• 5+ years as a Product Owner or similar role in data engineering/analytics, successfully delivering multiple projects.
• Proficiency in Jira and Confluence for defining scope, documenting requirements, and managing the product backlog.
• Comfortable discussing data pipelines, APIs, and architecture; solid grasp of Agile/Scrum.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills, with an analytical mindset.

Nice to have:

• Agile certification (e.g., CSPO).
• Familiarity with airline datasets (flight operations, passenger, scheduling) and data integration (ETL/ELT).
• Experience with airline IT systems (reservation, departure control).
• Familiarity with airline Revenue Management principles.
• Background in startup or pilot project environments.
