The Director of R&D at Fetcherr will act as a senior technical authority, particularly in the realm of data and development. This position combines managerial expertise, technical leadership, and strategic vision to ensure the company’s R&D efforts align with business goals. You will collaborate with customers, and take ownership of initiatives that improve data quality, optimize development processes, and reduce cloud costs.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Senior technical authority in data, analytics & architecture
- Lead R&D team with VP R&D
- Drive innovation & change management
- Improve processes for company-wide impact
Technical & Process Excellence:
- Design, oversee, and refine development processes to increase efficiency and reliability.
- Take ownership of data quality, including QA, validation, and analytics processes.
- Drive cloud cost reduction initiatives
- Lead the creation of technical design documents (TDDs) and ensure best practices.
Customer Collaboration
- Work directly with customers to understand their needs and align product development with real-world challenges.
- Serve as a key technical representative, translating customer requirements into actionable R&D strategies.
Team and Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Manage and collaborate with remote teams, ensuring effective communication and productivity.
- Partner with data scientists, engineers, and product teams to deliver scalable and impactful solutions.
- Champion a hands-on, analytical culture within the R&D department.
