We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Head of Strategic Finance to join our finance team in Vienna. This leadership position will play a pivotal role in driving financial performance and supporting decision-making across the company's operational departments.

As the Head of Strategic Finance at our leading EdTech platform, you will be at the forefront of driving financial excellence and strategic decision-making within our organization. Your visionary leadership and financial expertise will play a pivotal role in shaping our long-term financial model, identifying key performance indicators (KPIs), and providing invaluable decision support to our operational departments. This multifaceted role will empower you to spearhead cross-functional projects, evaluate new market opportunities, and contribute to the strategic direction of our company as we work passionately towards building the #1 Global School and transforming education worldwide.

You will be a key member of our finance team, collaborating closely with operational department heads to understand their unique business needs and challenges. By aligning financial strategies with the company's overall goals and objectives, you will guide and support departments in optimizing financial performance and driving cost efficiencies.

As the Head of Strategic Finance, you will have a direct impact on the company's growth and success. By analyzing financial reports, KPIs, and other key metrics, you will provide critical insights to support performance reviews, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes. Your strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities will enable you to contribute to the development of our overall strategic plan, evaluate investment opportunities, and present financial reports and strategic recommendations to the executive team and board of investors.

Your responsibilities:

1. Long-Term Financial Model Development:
• Lead the development and maintenance of a comprehensive long-term financial model, providing valuable insights into our financial performance, forecasts, and opportunities for growth. Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
2. Key KPI Identification and Variance Analysis:
• Identify and establish key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to finance and operations. Track and analyze variances to budget, prioritizing areas for improvement and growth. Partner with department leaders to optimize performance and achieve financial goals.
3. Cross-Functional Project Management:
• Drive cross-functional projects aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and financial performance. Collaborate with various departments to develop action plans and ensure successful implementation. Ensure follow-through on initiatives for sustained impact.
4. New Projects / Products Process:
• Collaborate with the Corporate Development team to evaluate the financial feasibility of new projects and products. Utilize financial modeling and analysis to assess potential opportunities and risks. Facilitate a seamless process for successful project launches.
5. Strategic Analysis and Decision Support:
• Perform strategic analysis to evaluate opportunities in new markets and support decision-making for the company's growth strategy. Provide financial insights to aid senior leadership in making informed strategic choices.

Who you are:

• 8+ years of relevant experience in consulting finance, FP&A, or strategic finance roles.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Master's degree or advanced certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) are advantageous.
• Proven experience in financial modeling and long-term planning.
• Strong expertise in identifying and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) for financial analysis.
• Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional projects to drive process improvement and operational efficiency.
• Experience in evaluating new market opportunities and supporting strategic decision-making.
• Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to communicate complex financial concepts effectively.
• Proficiency in financial software and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, ERP systems).
• Outstanding leadership and collaboration skills, with a focus on delivering results.
