Hnry are undergoing a period of rapid growth and we are building out our internal finance team by welcoming a Finance Manager into the team. This newly established role will be in a small but mighty team, tackling new challenges everyday.
We are looking to create a fast-moving and innovative finance team at Hnry built with the goal of delivering the best outcomes to all of our stakeholders. This role will be crucial in establishing the internal culture of how finance works at Hnry. We want to build an approachable, fun, and engaging finance team at Hnry.
Responsibilities
Manage and improve day-to-day financial operations at Hnry, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bookkeeping activities
Preparation of monthly management accounts, including budget variance analysis, key metric reports
Implement and maintain financial systems and processes of the company with a mindset around continuous improvement.
Help draft and implement appropriate and right-sized financial policies for a growing start-up
Ensure tax compliance across Hnry Group Companies, including GST, income tax, payroll tax, and ACC
Work with Head of Finance, external auditors and advisors on the preparation of the company’s statutory financial statements
Liaise with the external bookkeepers on process improvements with an aim on producing fast, accurate and timely financial reports for the business
Monitor company bank accounts to ensure necessary funds are available for business initiatives
Work closely with the Head of Finance and Leadership team on budgeting, cash flow forecasts, and long-term financial projections.
Manage the annual insurance and workers compensation review andpolicy renewal process
N.B. This role does not have any direct responsibility or accountability for theaccounting needs of Hnry’s clients, customers or partners

About you
You will:
Be the eyes and ears of the finance team, keeping the company’s day to day financial activities in check, establishing best practice processes and partnering with the rest of the business to help us grow
Be comfortable working with leadership and being exposed to key decisions being made
Look to collaborate across the entire company but understand the importance of autonomous work
Enjoy solving complex problems
Be a current financial professional working in accounting, audit, or tax (CA/CPA preferred)
Have experience working with businesses in both Australia and New Zealand.
Be a team player with strong communication, customer service, organisationaland interpersonal skills.
Have the ability to prioritise and work proactively and independently in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
Be able to bring your own ideas to the table, be driven and motivated to hitgoals, and have the skills to make those ideas a reality

Salary banding: $100,000 - $120,000 per annum
