Hnry are undergoing a period of rapid growth, and are looking to add to our current team. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who has excellent problem-solving skills to join our Risk & Compliance function. As you can imagine, this is an important role for the business with Risk & Compliance being at the forefront of everything we do.

We are looking to expand the function at Hnry by building a team within our New Zealand office and this role will be crucial in implementing the first steps of what that looks like. We want to build a team who are fun, engaging and passionate about what they do at Hnry.

Responsibilities

Identify and assess potential technology risks in the organisation.

Work closely with IT teams to ensure that technology systems and processes are secure and reliable.

Develop and implement risk management strategies.

Conduct regular security audits to identify any gaps or vulnerabilities in the organisation's technology systems and processes.

Develop and implement policies and procedures related to technology risk management.

Provide regular reports to senior management on the status of technology risks and the effectiveness of risk management strategies.

Conduct risk assessments: identifying potential risks associated with the organisation's technology systems and processes, and assessing the likelihood and potential impact of these risks.

Collaborate with IT teams: working closely with IT teams to understand the organisation's technology systems and processes, and to identify and address potential vulnerabilities

Conducting security control tests: performing regular security control tests to identify any gaps or vulnerabilities in the organisation's technology systems and processes.

Develop and maintain policies and procedures: developing, implementing, and maintaining policies and procedures related to technology risk management, and ensuring that they are communicated effectively throughout the organisation.

About you

A degree in a relevant field such as information systems, computer science, or a related field.

At least 1 year of practical experience in technology risk management.

Knowledge of industry frameworks and standards, such as NIST, ISO, or COBIT.

Understanding of risk management principles and methodologies.

Experience with risk assessment and control testing tools and techniques.

Basic familiarity with Technology Risks and Controls, Governance, Risk and Compliance tools.

Possess strong interpersonal, communication skills.

Leverage technology to continually learn, improve service delivery and maintain our leading-edge best practices.

Have a high level of attention to detail and the ability to think outside the box.

Bonus points for the following:

Previous experience in AWS

Experience being self-employed (freelancing, contracting etc) in any industry/profession

Experience of working in a fast-paced, agile workplace

Salary banding: $85,000 - $95,000 per annum
