About the Position
We are looking for a Sr. Accounting Manager to join our stellar finance team. This role offers a unique opportunity to join one of the fastest-growing consumer brands in Europe and help build out our accounting function as we grow into a $100M+ international omni-channel brand, disrupting the soft drink industry.

As we expand by adding new sales channels, launching innovative product lines, and entering diverse geographic markets, our operating landscape is becoming increasingly complex, bringing exciting challenges to daily finance operations. In this role, you'll be able to apply your finance and accounting knowledge while simultaneously taking ownership of individual work-streams.

Responsibilities:

  • Monthly Closing & Reporting: Own and manage the monthly closing process by collaborating with various teams to gather financial data, including receipts, provision figures, inventory reports, and payouts. You will also work with external partners, such as suppliers and tax advisors, to verify data and make necessary adjustments, ensuring prompt and compliant reporting.
  • Invoice Management: You’ll guarantee payments are being executed on time by taking full ownership of all incoming invoices while also ensuring that each expense is correctly allocated to the proper ledger.
  • Employee Expense Management: Take ownership of our company's credit card platform. Ensure the correct use of company cards and that all transaction receipts are uploaded properly. You will also have the full responsibility of the reimbursement process verifying all transactions fall within our company policy.
  • Maintenance of Financial Data: Oversee the calculation process for Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) to ensure accurate product cost tracking and profitability margins. Additionally, you will manage the Supplier/Partner database, ensuring compliance with regulations and data accuracy. You will also maintain legal document filing in both paper and digital formats.
  • Building scalable and tailored financial systems and processes: You will be part of creating customized, adaptable financial infrastructure that can grow with our organization's needs while maintaining efficiency and accuracy.
About You
  • Finance or accounting background: You studied Accounting, Finance, or Business and have at least 3 years of relevant experience in the finance field (Experience in a high-growth startup is a strong plus.)
  • Organized and structured: You think in a structured way, pay great attention to detail, are sensitive to deadlines, and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Reliable Team player: You are supportive and have a positive attitude. You are willing to communicate and have a strong desire to learn continuously. People consider you as someone they can rely on.
  • System & Software skills: You are a proficient Excel, Google Sheets, and DATEV user and consider yourself a quick learner. You are familiar with credit card provider platforms.
  • Experience in designing and implementing financial processes and systems is a strong plus
  • Fluency in English: You are fluent in English, both speaking and writing. German is a plus.

The Process
Given our rapid growth and ambitious plans, the ideal start date for the position would be as early as possible. However, we are committed to waiting for the right candidate to join our team.
Please find the steps you will encounter during the hiring process below:

  1. Getting to know you: You will meet Luca, our Talent Partner for a 30-minute screening interview where you will talk about HOLY and the position and see if our expectations match.
  2. Hiring Manager Interview: 30-minute interview with Kai, our CFO and hiring manager for the role
  3. Case Study & On-site Interview: In this meeting, our team will discuss the case study with you and answer questions in our office.
  4. Founder Interview: As a strong cultural fit is important to us, you will have a 30-minute final meeting with Fredi, one of our HOLY Founders. This gives both you and us the opportunity for a final check.
  5. Job offer and decision: If everything goes well, you will receive an offer and we are ready to embark your this journey together with you!
