A new 7-a-side football league with teams chaired by the world's best streamers and content creators, with revolutionary rules aimed at uniting the best of football with the latest trends in esports and new ways of communicating and understanding the world. In this sense, the Kings League has not only managed to "reimagine the game," but has also elevated sport and entertainment to a new dimension, making it more accessible to all audiences.

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Content Director based in Mexico City, Mexico, to lead the creative and production strategy for innovative sports and entertainment projects across the Americas. This role requires a visionary leader with strong management skills who can drive the full content lifecycle from concept through execution while ensuring alignment with the Kings League brand and engaging audiences across Latin America. You will oversee multiple teams, develop talent, and foster a high-performance culture across creative and production functions.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership across all content production activities, setting clear goals, priorities, and performance expectations for creative and production teams.
  • Oversee all stages of program production from pre-production to post-production, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire cross-functional teams including directors, writers, talent, editors, and production crew, promoting a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, and talent to ensure alignment on creative vision and business objectives.
  • Define and communicate the creative vision for content, ensuring storytelling, design, and tone are culturally relevant and consistent with brand values.
  • Manage budgets and allocate resources strategically across multiple projects and markets, balancing creative ambition with operational efficiency.
  • Supervise script development and content planning, ensuring consistency, quality, and relevance across all output.
  • Proactively identify and resolve production challenges, providing solutions that maintain both creative integrity and operational feasibility.
  • Monitor audience feedback, content performance, and analytics to guide strategic decisions and optimize content impact.
  • Collaborate with content leads in other global markets to maintain cross-regional consistency, share best practices, and leverage insights for continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in producing premium television or digital content, ideally in entertainment, reality TV, or live sports and events.
  • Degree in Media, Film, Journalism, Communication, or a related field.
  • Seven or more years of experience in content creation and production, with demonstrated success leading large, multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Exceptional leadership and management skills, including team development, conflict resolution, and performance management.
  • Ability to translate creative vision into actionable plans, delegating effectively while maintaining accountability across teams.
  • Strong understanding of all stages of production, with the ability to oversee complex projects across multiple markets.
  • Excellent narrative skills with the ability to guide script development and ensure content resonates with Latin American audiences.
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale budgets, resources, and operational logistics efficiently.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with diverse teams, talent, and stakeholders.
  • Deep cultural awareness and familiarity with viewer preferences across Latin American markets.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English, both spoken and written.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, depending on live production and event schedules.
  • Experience with cross-border content production is a strong advantage.
