Your role at Kittl

As Engineering Manager, you’ll guide a talented group of engineers and help drive the evolution of Kittl’s product.

In this role, you’ll combine strong engineering expertise and proven leadership skills to shape technical direction, support your team’s growth, and collaborate closely with design, engineering and product leadership to deliver an exceptional creative experience.

While the primary focus of your role will be people management, we encourage EMs to stay close to code through reviews, pairing, and individual contributions as necessary to ensure your team's success.

What you’ll do

  • Lead & mentor: Support the growth of a team of 3-6 engineers, providing guidance and feedback

  • Drive efficiency & quality: Keep development smooth, scalable, and aligned with company goals

  • Plan & prioritize: Manage priorities, roadmaps, and resources together with Product and Design leads

  • Shape architecture: Ensure reliability, scalability, and code quality

  • Hire & expand: Contribute to recruiting and building a strong engineering team

What you’ll need

  • Experience: 6+ years in engineering, with at least 1 year of people management

  • Technical depth: Strong software engineering background, able to guide architectural direction

  • Engineering excellence: Track record of delivering high-quality, scalable software

  • Product mindset: Strong product thinking to guide decisions and deliver meaningful user value

  • Collaboration skills: You thrive in close collaboration with design leadership and product strategy, turning vision into impactful execution

  • Ownership & drive: A self-starter who enjoys experimentation and challenging the status quo

  • CEO meet & greet (10 min)

  • Recruiter interview (45 min)

  • CTO interview (60 min)

  • Director of Engineering interview (60 min)

  • Product Manager interview (45 min)

  • Stakeholder interviews (30 min + 20 min, back-to-back)

  • CEO bar-raiser interview (45 min)
