Who you are

We’re hiring a dynamic Senior Operations Manager as a critical hire within our Operations function for LemFi Europe. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, you will play a pivotal role in driving strategic initiatives, supporting key commercial engagements, and ensuring strong operational governance—particularly across outsourcing management and management reporting.

Job Summary

In this role, you will bring strong operational discipline, commercial awareness, and a commitment to regulatory excellence within the payments industry. You will thrive in ambiguity, solve complex problems pragmatically, and help build structure in a rapidly scaling environment.

As the first Operations hire in Europe, you will have the opportunity to shape the function from the ground up. You will take meaningful ownership, influence how we scale across Europe, and work closely with a collaborative leadership team committed to your growth and long-term success.

Responsibilities are as follows:

  • Lead key initiatives across LemFi Europe, managing planning, execution, reporting, and overall project portfolio tracking.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of critical and non-critical outsourcing arrangements, including due diligence, contract support, ongoing monitoring, performance reviews, and exit planning, in line with CBI expectations.
  • Prepare and present clear operational and governance reports for the CEO, Executive Team, and Board, covering KPIs, risk events, outsourcing performance, and control effectiveness.
  • Serve as the operational SME in strategic commercial discussions, providing input on process design, operational feasibility, and resource needs for new products or partnerships.
  • Review and strengthen operational processes and internal controls to ensure scalability, efficiency, and regulatory alignment.
  • Support regulatory obligations by maintaining operational readiness for internal/external audits and regulatory inspections

Requirements:

  • 5+ years’ operations experience in financial services or payments, ideally in a regulated EMI/PSP/banking environment.
  • Strong grasp of operational governance, outsourcing oversight, risk management, and relevant regulatory expectations.
  • Proven ability to lead and deliver cross-functional projects in fast-paced, high-growth settings.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to bring structure and clarity to ambiguous situations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, including working with senior leaders and external partners.
  • Highly organised, proactive, and able to work independently with strong attention to detail.
  • High integrity and sound judgment, with a solid commitment to compliance and maintaining a strong control environment.
  • Comfortable in a scaling environment and able to build new processes and drive continuous improvement.
