The Role

You will be the engine behind LemFi’s European operations, driving strategic initiatives, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the operations function from the ground up, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and strong governance across Europe.

You won’t just manage projects—you will design operational frameworks, oversee outsourcing arrangements, and provide actionable insights to the Executive Team and Board, enabling LemFi to scale confidently while maintaining a robust control environment.

How You'll Contribute

  • Lead Strategic Initiatives: Own the planning, execution, and reporting of key operational projects, managing portfolios and ensuring timely delivery.

  • Manage Outsourcing Lifecycle: Oversee outsourcing arrangements, including due diligence, contract management, monitoring, performance reviews, and exit planning in line with regulatory expectations.

  • Drive Governance & Reporting: Prepare and present operational and governance reports for the CEO, Executive Team, and Board, covering KPIs, risk events, outsourcing performance, and control effectiveness.

  • Provide Operational Expertise: Serve as the SME for operational feasibility, process design, and resource allocation in commercial and product discussions.

  • Optimise Processes & Controls: Review and strengthen operational processes, internal controls, and workflows to ensure efficiency, scalability, and regulatory alignment.

  • Support Regulatory Readiness: Ensure operational readiness for audits and regulatory inspections, maintaining high standards of compliance and control.

  • Foster Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to build new processes, improve efficiency, and enhance control environments as the business scales.

What You'll Bring

  • 5+ years of operations experience in financial services, payments, or regulated banking/EMI/PSP environments.

  • Strong knowledge of operational governance, outsourcing oversight, risk management, and regulatory expectations.

  • Proven experience leading cross-functional projects in fast-moving, high-growth organizations.

  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.

  • Ability to build and optimise processes, drive continuous improvement, and implement scalable operational frameworks.

  • Commitment to compliance, control, and regulatory excellence in a rapidly scaling environment.
