LemFi (Series B) is building the go-to financial app for the Global South.
Moving to a new country shouldn’t mean starting from zero. That's why our team of 400+ spanning 20+ countries is building a financial ecosystem that helps immigrants stay connected to home, build stability, and create wealth regardless of where they are from or where they live.
What began as fast, affordable remittances is now evolving into a complete platform for multi-currency accounts, payments, credit, and long-term financial growth.
With over 2 million users across the globe, we process over $1.5B in monthly transactions to 30+ countries, proving that borders shouldn't limit financial opportunity.
The Role
You will be the engine behind LemFi’s security posture, ensuring our infrastructure, processes, and controls meet the highest standards for resilience, compliance, and customer trust.
You won’t just configure security tools—you will strengthen cloud security, embed security into workflows, improve detection and response, and translate regulatory requirements into actionable, measurable improvements across the business.
How You'll Contribute
Secure & Harden Infrastructure: Manage and enhance AWS security, including IAM, network segmentation, key management, logging, and cloud hardening.
Implement Monitoring & Detection: Configure and maintain SIEM, vulnerability scanners, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and alerting for critical systems.
Embed Security in CI/CD: Integrate security controls, monitoring, and automation into development pipelines to prevent vulnerabilities and ensure operational efficiency.
Maintain Compliance & Audit Readiness: Support ISO 27001, PCI DSS, and DORA compliance, preparing regulatory reports, coordinating audit evidence, and maintaining security documentation.
Incident Management & Threat Intelligence: Operate and tune SIEM to detect suspicious activity, lead incident triage and post-incident reviews, and maintain playbooks for vulnerabilities, incidents, and threat intelligence.
Collaborate & Report: Align security strategy with Risk, Compliance, and IT, providing metrics for executive reporting and advising on third-party/vendor compliance.
Drive Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements, automation, and reporting enhancements to strengthen detection, response, and overall security posture.
Who You Are
Impact-Oriented: You thrive in a fast-growing fintech environment, balancing security rigor with business agility.
Technically Grounded: You have deep expertise in cloud security, SIEM, vulnerability management, and incident response within AWS environments.
Proactive & Accountable: You take ownership of security initiatives, act independently, and drive measurable improvements.
Collaborative: You communicate clearly with Engineering, Security, Compliance, and leadership, translating complex topics for non-technical stakeholders.
Analytical & Structured: You approach challenges methodically, focusing on continuous improvement, operational resilience, and automation.
What You'll Bring
5+ years in Security Engineering, Cloud Security, or Infrastructure Security, ideally within AWS environments.
Hands-on experience with AWS security services (IAM, KMS, CloudHSM, Security Hub, CloudTrail) and SIEM/vulnerability management.
Familiarity with financial-sector compliance frameworks such as DORA, PCI DSS, ISO 27001, and NIST CSF.
Experience preparing security reports, audit documentation, and regulatory evidence (e.g., CBI, PCI QSA).
Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform), CI/CD security integration, and scripting/automation (Python, Bash, or similar).
Strong ownership, accountability, and collaborative mindset, with excellent communication skills; experience in regulated financial institutions is a plus.
