LemFi (Series B) is building the go-to financial app for the Global South.
Moving to a new country shouldn’t mean starting from zero. That's why our team of 400+ spanning 20+ countries is building a financial ecosystem that helps immigrants stay connected to home, build stability, and create wealth regardless of where they are from or where they live.
What began as fast, affordable remittances is now evolving into a complete platform for multi-currency accounts, payments, credit, and long-term financial growth.
With millions of users across the globe, we process over $1B in monthly transactions to 30+ countries, proving that borders shouldn't limit financial opportunity.
We're LemFi. We exist for people who move — across borders, time zones, and systems that weren't built with them in mind. We handle the entire financial lifecycle of immigrants: sending money home, saving, spending, building. We're not just a utility. We're an advocate.
Words are how we show up. And right now, we need someone who knows how to wield them.
The role
You'll be the first dedicated Content Designer at LemFi — which means this is a build role, not a fill role. You'll work embedded in product, sitting alongside designers in Figma, to make the experience clearer, smarter, and more human. From onboarding flows to error states, from feature names to in-app copy — you'll make sure every word earns its place.
Curiosity isn't a nice-to-have here. It's how you work. You ask why before you write a word.
What you'll do
Own the words across the LemFi app — in-product copy, CTAs, onboarding, notifications, error states
Work directly in Figma alongside Product Designers — not after them
Partner with PMs and Engineers to bring clarity to complex features, end to end
Shape and champion LemFi's tone of voice across every product touchpoint
Contribute to the design system — content patterns, naming conventions, reusable copy components
Audit existing flows and identify where language creates friction — then fix it
Ground every decision in user research, data, and real insight
What we're looking for
Proven experience as a Content Designer in a product startup/scale up environment
Confident working in Figma — you live in the design file, not a Google Doc
A strong UX foundation — you think in flows, journeys, and user needs, not just sentences
A portfolio that shows clear visual thinking, not just clean writing
Someone who puts users first and questions assumptions second
Comfortable with ambiguity and pace — we move fast
Bonus: fintech, global products, or multilingual audience experience
Lastly
We want someone who brings the ideas, not just the words.

Don’t meet every single requirement in the job ad? Research shows that candidates from underrepresented backgrounds often hesitate to apply if they don't check every box.
