LemFi (Series B) is building the go-to financial app for the Global South.

Moving to a new country shouldn’t mean starting from zero. That's why our team of 400+ spanning 20+ countries is building a financial ecosystem that helps immigrants stay connected to home, build stability, and create wealth regardless of where they are from or where they live.

What began as fast, affordable remittances is now evolving into a complete platform for multi-currency accounts, payments, credit, and long-term financial growth.

With millions of users across the globe, we process over $1B in monthly transactions to 30+ countries, proving that borders shouldn't limit financial opportunity.

About the Role

At LemFi, we are building a Credit product that is fair, accessible, and designed to generate commercial value by delivering performance superior to our competitors. Credit is one of the most important bets we are making as a business , helping underserved customers build credit histories that unlock mainstream financial services, while scaling a profitable portfolio for LemFi.

We are looking for a Product Manager to join the Credit team and play a central role in shaping the next chapter of this product. Reporting into the Credit Product Lead, you will own the product roadmap for your area, partnering with the Product Manager to deliver products and experiences that genuinely improve our customers’ financial lives.

This is a hands-on role where you will set priorities, drive execution with engineering, manage a broad set of stakeholders, and turn customer and portfolio insight into shippable outcomes. The work you do will directly influence the outcomes we are driving as a Credit business:

  • Supporting underserved customers in building credit histories that unlock access to mainstream financial services.

  • Increasing credit penetration among existing LemFi users.

  • Contribute to our geographic expansion — helping bring our credit products to deliver real impact to more markets and more customers.

  • Acquiring and converting new-to-LemFi customers through credit as a primary entry point.

  • Enhancing customer value and retention through integrated ecosystem benefits.

  • Scaling a sustainable and profitable credit portfolio with positive unit economics, delivering performance superior to market rates.

How You’ll Contribute

  • Own the roadmap for your part of the Credit product and make sharp commercial trade-offs across growth, risk, customer experience, and unit economics — not just managing a backlog, but actively shaping where we invest.

  • Live the ethos of data-driven decision making. Be confident interrogating data and analytics yourself, fluent in the mechanics and basics of credit cards and loans — APRs, fees, balances, draw-downs, repayment behaviour, vintages, and loss curves — and able to translate that fluency into product decisions that move the commercial metrics that matter.

  • Get into the detail of the portfolio: diagnose underperformance, pull on the right levers, and ship product changes that move loss rates, conversion, activation, retention, and revenue per customer in the right direction.

  • Partner with the Credit Product Lead and larger Credit team to deliver the end-to-end customer experience — from acquisition and underwriting through to servicing and collections.

  • Work shoulder-to-shoulder with engineering to deliver to a high standard. This is a hands-on role; you will be in the detail of requirements, edge cases, QA, and launch — not just running ceremonies.

  • Use AI deliberately to drive optimisation and efficiency within existing processes — from underwriting operations, credit ops workflows, customer servicing, and internal reporting through to product discovery, copy, QA, and analysis.

  • Proactively use AI to enhance delivery: accelerate discovery and prototyping, compress cycle times with engineering and design, and unlock product experiences (e.g. personalised journeys, smarter servicing, intelligent risk interventions) that would not be economic to build otherwise.

  • Manage stakeholders across Credit Risk, Decision Science, Operations, Compliance, Commercial, Design, and Leadership — keeping them informed, aligned, and bought in, while protecting the team’s focus.

  • Track product performance against acquisition, penetration, retention, loss, and unit-economics KPIs. Communicate results, learnings, and trade-offs to the Credit Product Lead and the wider business clearly and commercially.

  • Champion the customer in every conversation, ensuring we build credit experiences that are simple, transparent, and genuinely valuable to underserved users.

Who You Are

You are commercial and curious. You understand that running a credit product means managing a living, breathing portfolio with real money at stake — not just shipping features. You are comfortable in the detail of vintage curves, conversion funnels, decline reasons, and customer feedback, and you use that detail to decide what is worth building next. You are hands-on with engineering, bias to action, and at home in the messy middle of a fast-growing fintech.

You see AI as a force-multiplier and reach for it instinctively — to remove friction from internal processes, to accelerate your own work, and to find leverage the team did not know they had. You take ownership of your responsibilities and approach challenges with proactiveness. You believe great products come from strong collaboration, clear communication, and an obsessive focus on the customer. At LemFi, we strive for excellence in everything we do — you share that mindset, combining dedication to your craft with a commitment to the success of your team and the satisfaction of our customers.

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years of product management experience, ideally within consumer credit, lending, or fintech — with hands-on exposure to managing a live lending portfolio and the trade-offs that come with it.

  • Prior hands-on experience in one or more of credit risk, marketing analytics, finance, or data science preferable. You have spent meaningful time in an analytical function — not just consumed dashboards from one — and bring that rigour into how you frame problems, size opportunities, and measure impact.

  • A strong commercial instinct — fluent in unit economics, loss rates, conversion funnels, vintage performance, and the trade-offs between growth, risk, and customer outcomes.

  • Demonstrable experience using AI tools to drive efficiency and quality — in your own work, across the team’s delivery, and embedded into the product. You can point to specific examples of where you have used AI to remove toil, speed up delivery, or unlock something new.

  • Comfort getting your hands dirty in data — SQL fluency or equivalent strongly preferred. You should not need to wait on an analyst to form a point of view.

  • A track record of owning a product area, shaping a roadmap, and shipping outcomes that have moved meaningful business metrics.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and align cross-functional partners across credit risk, decision science, engineering, operations, and commercial.

  • Hands-on collaboration skills with engineering teams, including comfort with technical trade-offs and a genuine partnership on quality.

  • A customer-first mindset, with experience using both qualitative research and quantitative insight to inform product decisions.

  • Clear, commercial communication — able to translate complex portfolio and product trade-offs into simple, actionable narratives for the Credit Product Lead, leadership, and internal and external stakeholders.

  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset and the resilience to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

  • Familiarity with credit decisioning, scorecards, decision engines, or lending platforms is a strong plus.
