What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a motivated operations professional who has experience managing cost basis and tax reporting. The ideal individual will have experience owning these functions daily and a keen eye for creating efficiencies and optimizing processes. Additionally, the ideal individual will be a team player, willing to help where needed even if they are not an expert on the subject. The ideal individual will have experience working directly with tax reporting and cost basis vendors and will act as the internal point of contact for customer support escalation.

What You will Do

  • Liaise with vendors to ensure discrepancies and inaccuracies are reviewed and remediated in a timely manner
  • Create processes and procedures to monitor cost basis accuracy, reviewing and remediating any exceptions
  • Own tax season preparation, effectively managing internal and external communications and ensuring tax form delivery is completed in a timely manner
  • Design and execute small to medium domain projects and partner with domain owners and managers on cross functional projects.
  • Keep up to date on IRS cost basis and tax regulations
  • Work with Customer Service to assist with complex escalations, and cost basis and tax reporting inquiries
  • Continually cross-train and be adaptable to provide additional support to the team during times of high volume or short staffing

Skills Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business is preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience with cost basis and tax reporting.
  • Attention to detail, proven organizational, communication, problem solving, and time management skills.
  • Analytical, metrics and data-driven mindset.
  • Experience with Maxit, Inteliclear, and SQL, a plus.
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple concurrent objectives, assignments, and deadlines, while achieving expected results.
  • Fast learning team player who enjoys collaborating and will take the initiative to comprehend and own tasks.
  • Series 99 or comparable FINRA licensing required or expectation to study and pass exam soon after hire.
