POSITION OVERVIEW:
As an Senior IT System Administrator, you will be responsible for supporting 200+ employees via ticketing system, Slack, and Jira, supporting end-users of the in-house built platform, and working with a small team in the office. You will also play a key role in implementing new systems and technologies, maintaining company software and hardware, and supporting an office relocation.
KEY TASKS & DUTIES:
- Setting up structure and process by improving and maintaining a ticketing system, measuring response times
- Responsible for oversight and day-to-day management of SaaS services, VPN services, end-user technical support, endpoint security operations, vendor management, access control, IT inventory management
- Lead hardware and software support, deployments, maintenance and troubleshooting
- Work closely with the People Operations team on user onboarding, offboarding,and management
- Support, improve, and manage office networks and Google Workspaces
- Collaborate with internal development teams to support investors using an in-house developed application
- Respond quickly to employee technical issues to boost productivity
- Setup and manage an office VPN
- Collaborate with the team to improve the office network, Google Workspace
- Apply security best practices
- Increase delivery speed, transparency, and quality by establishing best practices
- Standardize and operationalize the environment
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent expertise, with a proven ability to successfully lead and direct a technology team
- ITIL certification is desired
- Minimum of 5 years experience in IT management for companies with over 500+ employees
- Hands-on experience designing and managing office networks and multidomain Google Workspaces
- Plan and execute migrations with minimal impact on user experience and productivity
- Ability to collaborate and support employees in the office setting
- Passion for security and raising the security bar
- Understanding of network fundamentals
- Excellent communication skills
- Successful history of meeting deadlines while working on multiple parallel projects
MEASUREMENTS OF SUCCESS IN THE FIRST 90 DAYS:
- Working with the employees to boost productivity.
- Estimate efforts, identify risks and dependencies, and participate in weekly planning and status meetings
- Be a self-starter, able to work independently, be flexible and be able to succeed in a fast-paced, high-intensity startup environment
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to work in the NYC office - not a remote position
- Must be eligible to work in the US - no exceptions
How does Masterworks think about compensation?
The compensation range for the role is $110,000-150,000 (inclusive only of base salary, and exclusive of other potential competitive benefits such as on-target commission, bonus payments, and equity). Our ranges are very broad to accommodate all types of candidates and encourage growth. Specific compensation offered to a candidate may be dependent on factors such as education, experience, qualifications, and alignment with market data. Exceptional candidates may receive salaries outside of the posted ranges.
