- Negotiate and broker sales of contemporary artworks, ensuring favorable outcomes for all parties.
- Serve as the single point of contact to field consignment requests from dealers and galleries for works from the Masterworks collection
- Manage the full transaction cycle: sourcing works, assembling collateral (factsheets, photographs, etc), confirming details (pricing, condition, provenance), structuring offers, and closing deals.
- Collaborate with internal teams on contracts, invoicing, payments, and logistics.
- Generate new business by cultivating relationships with trade partners and increasing AEN participation.
- Relay market intelligence and platform feedback to leadership to inform growth strategy.
Ideal Candidate:
- Direct experience brokering art transactions with galleries, advisors, and dealers (auction house private sales, gallery sales, or advisory background).
- 3–8 years of transactional art market experience with a proven record of closed deals.
- Strong understanding of pricing, valuation, and what makes for good vs. poor examples by an artist.
- Skilled negotiator who thrives on getting deals done with efficiency and professionalism.
- Tech-fluent, comfortable with digital platforms and CRM systems.
- Highly organized, energetic, and able to manage multiple live transactions simultaneously.
What You’ll Accomplish in the First 90 Days:
- Master the AEN platform, deal criteria, and Hubspot CRM system.
- Onboard 500 advisors, dealers, and gallery partners onto AEN.
- Successfully broker and close multiple transactions.
- Consign out at least 10 paintings for the next art fair.
- Provide actionable insights on partner behavior and opportunities to expand deal flow.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be eligible for full-time US work.
