Position Overview:
Be a part of the fastest-growing business in the art market. We are looking for a resourceful and ambitious Acquisitions Associate to support the team in becoming the largest buyer in the art market. You will be responsible for ensuring information about our client interactions is meticulously organized and work closely with our specialist team to maintain consistently high activity levels.

The Acquisitions Associate will be a part of our incredible Art Acquisitions team and report initially to the EVP of Acquisitions.
Responsibilities Overview:
As an Acquisitions Associate, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting Masterworks specialists with day-to-day tasks and processes to acquire artwork:
- Record keeping on deals in AirTable, Hubspot and/or ClickUp
- Organizing art fair preview requests, regular artist list updates, and more
- Ensuring all information is up to date, logging meetings, setting reminders to follow up, etc.
- Tracking the Acquisitions funnel and conversion rates and putting together daily team activity KPIs
- Working with Masterworks systems and proprietary databases to maximize their benefit to the acquisitions team
- Becoming a HubSpot (our CRM) expert
- Routinely reviewing client lists to identify those who have not been contacted within a specified time range
- Cross-referencing Hubspot with Airtable and other databases, cleaning up notes and categories
- Sending newsletters and email blasts on behalf of the team
- Generate lists of underutilized sales leads
- Tracking auction results and sales results into our databases, cleaning up old entries to align with best practices
- Work with other stakeholders on process improvements
- Ad hoc projects as needed
Requirements or Skill Sets:
- 2+ years of experience in a sales support, analyst, administrative, or similar roles across any industry
- Direct art industry experience is not required, but familiarity with and passion for the industry and contemporary art is a big plus
- You know how to prioritize
- You love research and problem-solving
- You write flawlessly with clarity, brevity and impact
- Familiarity with Airtable and Hubspot a big plus
- You have task management superpowers – Clickup, Notion, Airtable, etc.
- Fast learner with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Need to be in a high-growth, fast-paced environment
Measurements of Success in First 90 Days:
- Become the owner of Airtable and Hubspot for the team
- Own KPIs and daily reporting for the team
- Get a handle on underwriting and fully run the process
- Scrub all contact assignments to ensure all contacts are consistently managed with touchpoints occurring on a monthly basis
Additional Requirements:
- Must be able to work in the NYC office.
- Must be eligible to work in the US - no exceptions.

How does Masterworks think about compensation?
The compensation range for the role is $60-75k (inclusive only of base salary, and exclusive of other potential competitive benefits such as on-target commission, bonus payments, and equity). Our ranges are very broad to accommodate all types of candidates and encourage growth. Specific compensation offered to a candidate may be dependent on factors such as education, experience, qualifications, and alignment with market data. Exceptional candidates may receive salaries outside of the posted ranges.
