As we scale, we require a strategic leader who can design, implement, and maintain a robust IT infrastructure that enables our organization to thrive in a dynamic and competitive environment. We're revolutionizing the court reporting industry every day, and we need a tech-savvy leader to help us redefine the boundaries of an outdated industry. You'll also be crucial in shaping the company's growth by designing and implementing scalable and intuitive IT infrastructure solutions. This role will report directly to the CTO.

Who are you?

We're seeking a visionary IT leader passionate about leveraging technology to revolutionize the legal industry. With 7-10 years of experience in IT and startups, you possess a proven track record of successfully leading and scaling IT teams, a mastery of modern hardware and software, and exceptional interpersonal skills. Your keen eye for identifying opportunities, ability to prioritize multiple tasks, and deep understanding of cybersecurity best practices make you the ideal candidate to drive innovation, foster a culture of collaboration, and align IT initiatives with our ambitious company goals. You know when to delegate, but you also are not afraid of rolling up your sleeves.

On a regular basis you will

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy that aligns with business objectives, anticipates future needs, and enables scalability and growth.

  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company's IT infrastructure, including cloud-based systems and end-user machines and assets.

  • Manage identity and access management (IAM) processes, including implementing and overseeing automated user account provisioning and de-provisioning.

  • Provide exceptional IT support services, ensuring timely resolution of user issues and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

  • Manage endpoint security, including responding to virus alerts, implementing and enforcing security policies, and ensuring the protection of company devices and data.

  • Oversee the onboarding of new users to various systems, including handling all device provisioning and configuration, ensuring a smooth and efficient onboarding process.

  • Manage integrations between HR systems (e.g., Rippling) and downstream systems, ensuring seamless data flow and maintaining the integrity of information across platforms.

  • Drive the automation of manual IT processes, improving efficiency, reducing errors, and freeing up resources for higher-value tasks.

  • Plan and execute migrations to new systems, ensuring minimal disruption and seamless adoption of new technologies.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards, including supporting SOC 2 Type II audits and maintaining adherence to cybersecurity best practices.

  • Implement and manage automated access review processes, regularly verifying user permissions and maintaining a secure access control environment.

  • Develop and execute incident response plans, effectively managing and mitigating IT security incidents to minimize impact on the organization.

  • Manage the IT budget, including planning, purchasing, and allocating resources effectively to support the company's technology needs.

  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

You’re gonna crush it if

  • You have 7-10 years of experience in IT and startups, with a track record of increasing responsibilities in terms of scope and direct reports.

  • You possess a proven track record of successfully scaling IT infrastructure and processes to support rapid organizational growth.

  • Your expertise lies in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and reliable IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and cloud-based systems.

  • You have strong proficiency in Google Workspace administration and management.

  • You have experience in managing integrations between HR systems (e.g., Rippling) and downstream systems.

  • You have demonstrated success in automating manual IT processes and driving process improvements.

  • Your ability to develop and execute strategic IT plans that align with business objectives is proven.

  • You possess strong project management skills and experience managing system migrations and implementations.

  • Your leadership skills are excellent, with the ability to build, mentor, and manage high-performing teams.

  • You have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  • You have experience with VDI or other alternative end-user computing solutions (e.g., Citrix, AWS Workspaces)

  • Experience with Rippling (or similar HR and IT management platforms) is highly desirable.

  • Experience in security, with a deep understanding of cybersecurity best practices, risk management, and incident response is desirable.

  • Experience in supporting SOC 2 Type II audits and maintaining compliance with industry regulations is desirable.
