We are seeking a General Manager (GM) / Director of Operations to oversee and optimize the day-to-day clinical operations of our telehealth psychotherapy services. This role requires a strategic leader with strong organizational and communication skills who can manage and scale a large team of therapists across various states while ensuring high-quality care, compliance with regulatory requirements, and operational efficiency.
A highly cross-functional and collaborative role, you will be working with providers as your main internal clients but will partner with Product and Tech, Clinical Support, and other centralized operational functions. You will be frequently finding yourself strategizing on long term goals, problem solving day-to-day inefficiencies of our operations, interpreting performance and quantitative data, and running projects into improve our experience and care quality. You will:

  • Support a team of therapists to ensure high standards of care and productivity.
  • Deploy clinical policies and procedures that align with our mission and ensure consistency in service delivery.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Director and National Psychotherapy Director to develop strategic plans for clinical growth and expansion.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and inclusive work environment that promotes professional development and reduces turnover.
  • Collaborate with the core operations team to ensure the daily clinical operations, including therapist scheduling, caseload management, and service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, licensing requirements, and professional standards of practice.
  • Monitor and evaluate clinical performance metrics to ensure quality care, high patient satisfaction, and efficient use of resources. Analyze and report on monthly metrics to drive excellence in high quality patient care, productivity and financial stewardship.
  • Develop and implement systems to streamline clinical workflows and enhance service delivery.
  • Work with clinical leadership to implement and monitor clinical protocols, policies, and procedures to ensure consistent, evidence-based care across the practice.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to recruit, onboard, and retain highly qualified therapists and clinical staff.
  • Work with the senior leadership and the strategic finance department to manage the clinical operations budget, ensuring financial sustainability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Support and monitor revenue streams, identify opportunities for financial growth, and implement strategies to optimize billing and reimbursement processes.
  • Serve as the liaison between clinical teams, administrative staff, and executive leadership, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across all levels of the organization.
  • Represent the organization at external meetings, conferences, and events, promoting the practice’s services and advocating for mental health care.

You have:

  • 6-8+ years of experience in operations, driving results across diverse business sectors and/or at high growth healthcare companies.
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably Master of Business Administration or Healthcare Management.
  • Background in healthcare operations and/or consulting, experience honing strong analytical skills paired with the ability to execute operational tactics and measure impact in an unbiased way.
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire diverse audiences, both clinical and non-clinical.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for in-office work, conferences, and regional events.
