Position Summary

    The Sanitation Specialist is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing all areas of our food production facility to ensure a safe, clean, and compliant work environment. This role includes cleaning production equipment, workspaces, common areas, and restrooms while following all food safety and employee safety procedures. The Sanitation Specialist will also monitor and restock sanitation supplies and complete required food safety and quality documentation.

Essential Responsibilities

    • Clean and sanitize all areas of the food production facility

    • Clean and sanitize production equipment, floors, walls, work surfaces, and other food contact areas

    • Clean break rooms, restrooms, offices, and common areas

    • Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and restock as needed

    • Prepare and use cleaning chemicals according to company procedures

    • Complete required food safety and quality documentation accurately

    • Follow all company food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety policies

    • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

    • Previous sanitation, or industrial cleaning experience preferred

    • Food safety certifications or licenses as required

    • Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision

    • Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, including proper preparation and dilution

    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness

Physical Requirements

    • Lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds

    • Stand, bend, lift, and move throughout 8+ hour shifts

    • Comfortable working in both hot and cold environments

    • Able to work in a fast-paced production setting
