Volleyball is already the #1 most played girls' youth sport. There are 38M current and former players today. Of major sports, it's the only one that is women-first (~90% of players are female). But the volleyball market has been almost entirely missed by traditional sports investors, brands, and media. LOVB is capturing this opportunity by creating a strong club business, and from that built-in audience and fandom, is creating the best Pro League in the world and a digital ecosystem that will connect all aspects of LOVB. In this role, you will join a mission-driven, roll-up-your-sleeves team of innovators and builders who have come together to change the paradigm of professional volleyball and women’s sports. Job Summary: As the Senior Manager, Content Development & Partner Management, you will play a pivotal role in the operational success and strategic growth of LOVB’s media and content partnerships. Reporting to the VP of Media & Content Business Development, you will manage relationships with key media and content partners, ensuring seamless coordination from onboarding through delivery. You will translate contract terms into action, align internal teams around storytelling and production schedules, and track performance metrics that inform strategy. This role is ideal for a proactive problem-solver who thrives on detail, enjoys cross-functional collaboration, and has a deep appreciation for the sports media landscape. Your work will ensure LOVB’s content is executed at the highest quality and resonates across platforms. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Partner Management - Serve as the day-to-day contact for select media and content partners after deal execution.
- Coordinate across Business & Legal Affairs and Finance to ensure partner adherence to contract terms.
- Lead structured onboarding for new partners, setting timelines, specs, and communication protocols.
- Maintain internal tracking of partner deliverables, launch dates, and renewal cycles.
- Synchronize campaigns and tentpole initiatives across departments to ensure alignment with partner timelines.
Content Development Coordination - Align internal production plans with partner expectations and content windows.
- Maintain a menu of content opportunities that span live, social, on-demand, and audio formats.
- Track internal project pipelines and translate contract terms into clear internal checklists.
Cross-Functional Project Management - Act as coordination hub across Media & Content, Social, Marketing/Brand, and Commercial.
- Lead recurring cross-functional meetings and circulate action items, timelines, and risk logs.
- Own project plans for high-profile launches and campaigns; identify blockers and drive resolution.
- Standardize brief, report, and postmortem templates to streamline team operations.
- Maintain a master calendar for content launches, live events, and partner milestones.
KPI Development & Viewership Tracking - Collaborate with senior media leaders to define KPIs across formats and platforms.
- Aggregate audience data across TV, streaming, digital, social, and audio to create dashboards.
- Produce partner reports and postmortems to inform renewals and upsells.
- Monitor brand and rights compliance across all executions.
Operational Support & Strategic Inputs - Support budgeting and forecasting efforts for content partnerships.
- Evaluate new platform and distribution opportunities from an operational lens.
- Assist in preparing presentations for executive and board-level updates.
Required & Preferred Skills/Abilities: - Deep knowledge of media rights structures and their operational implications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with partners and executives.
- Strong project management abilities with experience handling complex initiatives.
- Proficiency with KPI tracking tools, dashboards, and media analytics platforms.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented; excels at managing timelines and deliverables.
- Familiarity with production workflows, video specs, and digital asset management tools (preferred).
- Experience using project management software such as Airtable, Asana, or similar (preferred).
Education and Experience: - Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in sports, entertainment, or media environments.
- Prior roles in partner management, content production, or media rights recommended.
