Job Summary

League One Volleyball (LOVB) is reimagining women’s sports. Launched in 2019, LOVB is a mission-led sports performance, training, and media enterprise changing the game of volleyball in the USA while empowering new generations of female athletes.

The New Builds Marketing Intern supports the launch and early growth of 3–5 newly built LOVB Clubs by planning, managing, and executing each club’s social media strategy during the first four months of operations. This role owns day-to-day social media execution across Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, creating content aligned with direction from the Director of New Builds, Club Marketing, and each Club Director. The intern plays a key role in building local awareness, driving participation, and establishing each new club’s digital presence in its community.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Social Media Strategy & Execution

  • Plan, manage, and execute social media strategies for 3–5 new build clubs during their first four months of operation.

  • Own and manage club social media accounts, including Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.

  • Design and publish 5–6 posts per week per club following a daily posting schedule outlined by leadership.

  • Create short-form video content including Reels and TikToks tailored to each club’s local audience.

  • Develop and maintain weekly and monthly content calendars aligned to key milestones such as tryouts, season start, and tournaments.

  • Schedule posts using an approved social media scheduling tool.

Brand Optimization & Community Engagement

  • Optimize Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok accounts to ensure consistent branding, including logos, colors, bios, and links.

  • Respond to comments and direct messages in a timely and professional manner.

  • Follow and engage with local schools, athletes, and volleyball accounts to increase visibility and community integration.

  • Attend select tryouts to capture live content, including photos and video for ongoing use.

Performance Tracking & Advertising

  • Track follower growth and engagement metrics across all assigned accounts.

  • Deliver monthly performance summaries including followers, reach, and engagement metrics.

  • Suggest strategies to increase reach and engagement based on performance insights.

  • Manage a social media advertising budget of $3,000 per club.

Deliverables

  • Minimum of 12–20 posts per month per club.

  • Monthly content calendar.

  • Monthly performance summary report.

  • Organized and shared media library of photos and videos accessible to leadership.

Exclusions:
The intern is not responsible for initial account set-up, which is handled by the Club Marketing team.
