Job Summary: The VP, Facilities leads the strategy and execution of LOVB’s national club facility portfolio, ensuring safe, high-quality, and brand-aligned environments for athletes. This role oversees capital planning, real estate, and construction across a multi-site footprint while driving consistency in standards and supporting growth. You will partner cross-functionally with Club, Pro, Finance, and Executive Leadership to support expansion, acquisitions, and ongoing operations. This leader ensures facilities reflect LOVB’s commitment to athlete experience, community, and operational excellence. Success requires strong strategic leadership, financial acumen, and the ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Facilities Strategy & Portfolio Leadership - Define and lead the long-term facilities strategy for LOVB Clubs, aligning with organizational growth, athlete experience, and market expansion goals
- Establish and enforce national facility standards for safety, cleanliness, brand consistency, and operational excellence across all club locations
Capital Planning & Investment Oversight - Develop and manage a multi-year capital investment strategy, overseeing approximately $7–10M in annual capital expenditures in partnership with FP&A
- Build and maintain 24–36 month forward-looking facility plans, including renovations, relocations, and new builds
- Evaluate ROI and strategic impact of capital projects, ensuring alignment with financial and operational goals
Real Estate & Lease Strategy - Oversee site selection strategy and lease negotiations,, partnering with brokers and internal stakeholders to identify and secure optimal facilities
- Establish standards for lease structures, renewals, and compliance, ensuring consistency across all markets
- Support due diligence and integration of facilities for newly acquired clubs
Construction & Development Leadership - Oversee all major capital projects, including new builds and renovations exceeding $500K
- Negotiate and manage relationships with architects, designers, and general contractors
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to LOVB quality standards
- Provide executive-level reporting on project status, risks, and key decisions
Club & Pro Facility Integration - Partner with Pro teams to identify and support practice facility needs, including co-located club environments
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts to ensure facilities support both club and professional programming needs
Operational Excellence & Facility Support - Oversee systems and processes supporting facility maintenance, repairs, and issue resolution across all clubs
- Establish scalable processes for facility operations, reporting, and issue escalation
Team Leadership & Organizational Development - Lead, mentor, and develop the Facilities function, including direct management of a Director-level leader
- Build scalable structures, tools, and processes to support a growing national footprint
Required & Preferred Skills/Abilities: - Deep expertise in facilities management, real estate, and capital project execution within multi-site environments
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing large capital budgets and investment planning
- Proven ability to lead complex negotiations, including leases, vendor contracts, and construction agreements
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans and measurable outcomes.
- Exceptional project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple large-scale initiatives simultaneously.
- Strong people leadership and team development capabilities, with experience managing and mentoring senior leaders.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across executive, operational, and external partners.
- Ability to balance high-level strategy with hands-on problem solving in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in sports, recreation, or youth programming environments preferred.
Education and Experience: - Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- 15–20+ years of experience in facilities management, real estate, construction, or related fields within a multi-unit organization.
- Proven experience leading capital projects, portfolio strategy, and cross-functional initiatives at scale.
- Experience working with diverse stakeholders and building strong, trusted relationships.
