About the Role

As the People Operations & Recruitment Manager , you will work closely with other Ride Hailing Operations Leaders and team members,, as well as the CEO to support the recruitment, onboarding, talent and performance management of our exceptional team. In addition you will work closely with the leadership team to build and foster a high performance culture, as well as an engaging and safe work environment. You will work closely with our strategic partner and vendors to ensure our teams deliver to the highest standards of safety and procedural excellence.

What You’ll be Doing

  • Hiring & Onboarding:
    • Design and lead the recruitment process for all roles within our Ride Hailing organisation and our central team - from candidate sourcing to offer.

    • Develop and implement strategies to attract, hire, and retain exceptional talent.

    • Oversee the onboarding process, with a particular focus on partner mandated onboarding standards and requirements, all whilst maintaining a great candidate experience

    • Support the identification and development of tools and systems which facilitate timely data capture as well as a frictionless recruitment and onboarding process

  • People Operations:
    • Design and implement HR policies and procedures tailored to the needs of our operations and the requirements of our strategic partner

    • Lead the setup and management of payroll and people data processing, to include time and attendance tracking, document management, compliance with local employment regulations and timely and accurate processing of payroll payments.

    • Handle all employee relations, performance management, and other People related tasks to facilitate high levels of engagement and people experience in addition to safeguarding our rigorous safety and compliance standards.

  • Compliance & Reporting:
    • Ensure all recruitment and people operations activities comply with federal, state, and local employment laws.

    • Ensure all people related activities meet our strategic partner quality and reporting standards

    • Maintain accurate records and generate reports and analysis on core people data with a view to developing a dynamic and predictive dashboard across a range of people topics.

  • Culture and Engagement
    • Work closely with our CEO and other leaders to define and instill our culture, with particular reference to safety, excellence and innovation

    • Act as custodian of engagement - ensuring our teams are receiving appropriate levels of feedback, training, development and progression

    • Work with our CEO to develop and continuously improve our Employee Value Proposition to ensure that our talent attraction and retention is world class.

What You will need for this position

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in recruitment and HR management, preferably within the transportation, logistics, or tech sectors.

  • Sector or industry experience in Fleet/Mobility/Logistics/ Engineering/Operations/Operations Management is preferred

  • Strong preference for someone who is experienced with Kaizen framework and processes

  • Familiarity with and strong preference to use AI tools to run operations and solve problems rather than hiring headcount

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.

  • Ability to break down ambiguous and complex problems into manageable segments and to define creative solutions, securing buy in from key stakeholder

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on collaboration and teamwork.

  • High ethical standards and a commitment to confidentiality.

  • Strong knowledge of U.S. labor laws and regulations.

  • Experience with HRIS systems and payroll processing
