\nAs a senior backend engineer you will be a part of a cross-functional and an agile team of 5-7 people, where you will;

  • \nBe involved and participate in the overall application lifecycle
    • \n
  • \nWork with cutting-edge technologies/libraries on a microservice based architecture
    • \n
  • \nCollaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
    • \n
  • \nWrite clean and quality code, build prototypes, solve issues, profile and manage bottlenecks
    • \n
  • \nDevelop automated tests to ensure business needs are met and allow for regression testing

  • \nDemonstrable experience with relational (e.g MySQL, PostgreSQL) and non-relational (e.g MongoDB, DynamoDB) databases
    • \n
  • \nExperience with message brokers(e.g RabbitMQ, Kafka, SQS)

  • \nDeep knowledge on Computer Science fundamentals, algorithms and data structures

  • \nAnalytical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • \nExcellent communication skills; written and spoken

Role Summary

As a senior backend engineer you will be a part of a cross-functional and an agile team of 5-7 people, where you will;
  • Be involved and participate in the overall application lifecycle
  • Work with cutting-edge technologies/libraries on a microservice based architecture
  • Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
  • Write clean and quality code, build prototypes, solve issues, profile and manage bottlenecks
  • Develop automated tests to ensure business needs are met and allow for regression testing

Preferred Experience

  • Demonstrable object-oriented software design and development experience for distributed infrastructure systems; using one or more of the server-side programming languages, preferably Ruby, Go, Python, Java etc
  • Demonstrable experience with relational (e.g MySQL, PostgreSQL) and non-relational (e.g MongoDB, DynamoDB) databases
  • Experience with message brokers(e.g RabbitMQ, Kafka, SQS)
  • Deep knowledge on Computer Science fundamentals, algorithms and data structures
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills; written and spoken
  • Experience of working as part of an Agile Software Development team
